The Oceanfront House
Every room has a sweeping view across the lawn, road, and over the granite ledge and boulder strewn seashore, out to sea. Originally this area was called Bass Rocks for the unique, low pitched rumbling of the surf on the shore. The ocean stretches out to infinity but hosts gulls, boats, the occasional seal, whales and, of course, fish. The striped bass caught off the rocks here can run more than 40 to 50 lbs.
The individual guest rooms are furnished with either one king bed or two queen beds. The center portion of the building with the two pillow-top queen beds are slightly larger rooms and all have a pull-out sofa. Each adjacent wing has rooms with one
pillow-top king sized bed. The north wing overlooks the swimming pool with some ground floor rooms opening directly into the pool area. The south wing overlooks the perennial rock garden. Each room also has two lounge chairs and a table,
satellite
HD television, DVD player, refrigerator, coffee maker and private bath . Ground floor rooms open onto a patio with wicker tables and chairs where you can step right onto the lawn or the pool area. Second floor rooms open onto a veranda with white wicker tables and chairs for each room. There is a roof over the veranda in front of all the rooms in the center. All rooms in this building are nonsmoking.
